In my opinion using blogs is one of the best ways practice English over the internet. Here are some advantages and disadvantages
Advantages
- Blogs encourage experimenting and risk-taking, seriousness and play, and they foster an increased awareness of private and public writing.
- Sharing student-generated research or links to class-realted articles.
- Students have the oportunity to practice writing and analytical skills in their own blogs.
- Community building.
- Collaborate on projects and get feedback from others.
Disadvantages
- Exposing personal information.
